Role changes and my resume?

by Elizabeth
(Cary, NC, US)

I worked in property management for the same company for 10 years. I started as a multi-site manager and then elected to step down to a part time leasing position in 2004 when my daughter was born.

How should I list this on my resume? I think the step down may reflect poorly if I just list leasing, and if I break it down by date.

Thanks so much! Elizabeth

Answer: Thanks for asking, Elizabeth! It's a little hard to explain stuff like that on a resume; the cover letter is really a better place for such explanations. That's why it's always important to include a cover letter any time you submit a resume.
