Your job hunting horror stories can both entertain and educate other job seekers... won't you please share?
We all have them... horror stories about the huge mistake we left on our resume when we sent it in for that coveted dream job... interviews that left us gasping... the human resource professional from hell... you know what I'm talking about, don't you?
This is the part of my site that belongs to my readers. That's right... you get to write the pages in this section by sending in your job hunting horror stories for the entertainment and edification of the rest of us.
What am I talking about? Well...
I'm asking you to lay bare your soul and share your most embarrassing and trying moments when looking for a job. Trust me, you'll feel better by letting it out and letting it go. :-)
And you might give the rest of us a chuckle too, as we remember our own trials. Keeps it in perspective when we see we're not alone, doesn't it?
But, more than that, my hope is that we can learn from these stories. Learn what NOT to do and how to do things differently. Remember...
"If you keep doing the same things over and over in the same way, then don't be surprised if you keep getting the same results..." (OK, that's paraphrased, but you get it, right?)
Anyway... let's start those stories rolling...
Do you have a great horror story about job hunting? It could have to do with any aspect of job hunting or career change, from figuring out "what you wanna be when you grow up", to writing resumes & cover letters, to job interviews, to... well anything job-hunt-related. If you have a story, share it! But, be sure to give us as much detail as possible (bring your story to life) and include at least one thing you learned from the experience, or would do differently next time.
