How should I modify my CV to show a gap and also reflect my interest in a career change?

I want to explain a gap of 2 yrs and now I also want to change my career to accounting from IT. I have 5 yrs experience in IT and basic accounting certificate. How shall I modify my CV?

Answer: Employment gaps are best dealt with in the cover letter and job interview. You really can't do a lot about them in a resume, other than listing any transferable skills you may have picked up during the interim.

In terms of changing your career, you're going to need to show that your basic accounting certificate and any other skills you possess from past work experience, internships, etc. make you an outstanding candidate in the accounting field. The more relevant experience, skills and knowledge you can show, the better.

First and foremost is the objective. Your objective needs to be at the top, right underneath your contact information. This is the most important part of your resume, although it is more often than not completely left out. That is a big mistake.

I want to change my career from Insurance sector to IT sector. I have a Master degree in computer Applocations but donot have experience in it.My overall experience is of 7 yrs that is totally in insurance sector.
How i will represent myself in the interview.
