What does years of involvement mean?

by Anonymous
(Somewhere)

One of my college resume questions is "Honors, awards and recognitions. List each and describe the level and the number of years of your involvement."
What does it mean by "number of years of your involvement"?

Is it asking how long it took me to reach that honor or how long I have last that honor? Because isn't receiving(literally) honors and awards a moment-kind-of-thing?

Answer: I have to agree with you; this is kind of a weird way to ask for information. I think I'd just list when you got the honor or award and leave it at that.
