I had the first interview with the vice president of the company and received an e-mail from her that she would like me to come in for a second interview. She stated that she was going out of town on business for two weeks and asked if I would be available to come in the first week in May.
I responded that I would be available and looked forward to hearing from her; she stated she would be contacting me that week. However, I haven't heard from her regarding the second interview. My question is should I wait until she contacts me or would it be inappropriate to follow-up?
ANSWER: I absolutely think it would be OK to follow up. You never know what might happen... perhaps she never received your email or called the wrong number for you or... No harm in a polite follow up phone call or email. Shows initiative.
