The college I graduated from is now a university. How should I list this, as a college or a university?
ANSWER: I think I would just list the current name of the institution. Your records will be on file with them regardless, so an employer shouldn't have any trouble checking up on you.
I suppose you could mention in your cover letter that they changed from college to university, but I'm not sure it's relevant.

My college is not accredited by the USDE. Must I mention this? I am very proud of the BS I worked hard to get. However, the college I attended has an accrediting agency that is not recognized by the USDE.
Should I put down that I graduated from this school and attach an addendum stating that the school is not accredited? Or should I include the school and not mention anything? Or should I just not include this school on my resume?
Please help.
ANSWER: Gerard... I'm not sure how to advise you on this. I definitely think you should give yourself credit on the resume for ANY and ALL education. Education is always a plus, and it also demonstrates your work ethic and commitment to growth.
As to whether to volunteer if the college was accredited or not, I'm not sure. You don't say what industry you are working in or how important accredited education is in that industry. For instance, I can see that in law or medicine, accreditation would be very important. But is it of the same importance in an arts area? I'm just not sure.
You might want to consult a career consultant who is an expert in your chosen industry.
