Overlapping job date

by Alex
(Idaho)

Hello... I have worked for the "A" company. But I took unpaid leave of absence to get higher degree.

After I finish the study, I have joined "B" company. Before joining the "B" company, I asked the "A" company for my resignation.

But the documentation work was delayed. So there is almost one and half month overlap between the two company job date.

"A" company is not located in US and "B" company is located in US.

How can handle this issue to update my resume.

ANSWER: Just list the jobs sequentially, starting with the B company and then the A company. You don't need to say anything in the resume about the overlap at all, but do be prepared to answer a question about it during any interviews. I don't think overlapping jobs are all that unusual, since people often work 2 or 3 jobs at a time.
