During my tenure at Bechtel, I supported a variety Engineers, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Vice Presidents and Principal Vice Presidents on variety of projects.
My tasks included secretarial support; typing, filing, meeting minutes, schedules, calendars, customer service, travel; domestic and international, expense reports, security detail while overseas, coordinating moves within Bechtel, maintaining the Purchasing Cards and moves within Bechtel and setting up offsite jobs.
While working with Six Sigma I was responsible for tracking of all Process Improvements Projects which were done using Net Program and 6Sigma PIP Tracker+. I was also in charge of determining who in Six Sigma could gain access to these programs. I was the sole support for the complete Six Sigma group which included Black Belts, Yellow Belts and Champions. This included all training programs, invitations, preparing of distribution of all certifications, preparing and presenting Power Point presentations that were presented to all levels of Bechtel.
When working on the Turkey BOO project which was a joint venture and located in Istanbul, Turkey, I not only supported the Frederick, MD office I also supported the Istanbul office. I maintained all Outlook Calendars for travel, conference calls, on and offsite meetings and video conferences, as well as ensured that our Turkey counterparts had long-term accommodations and transportation along with knowledge of the Frederick area.
Bechtel uses a variety of Software packages that are created exclusively for Bechtel. The programs that I used on regular basis were InfoWorks which is a complex Data Entry program, PARIS which was used for the tracking of the Purchasing Cards used on each project. Net Program and 6Sigma Tracker+ was used only on the Six Sigma project to track all work being done in Six Sigma.
