Carol, I think you are traversing a slippery slope when you start omitting the facts on your resume work history. You can't leave out 12 years of your history without raising questions that you won't be able to answer credibly. I strongly advise you to be completely honest and let the chips fall where they may. You should always include any education and recent work history, because it may benefit you in some way you're not yet anticipating. One thing to look at is transferable skills. Are there skills gained in running your own practice or caring for patients that will translate well to a different workplace? Be proud of what you have accomplished, even if it's not working out as planned. Don't hide your light under a bushel! The right job is sure to come along eventually... To your success, Kathi
