How do I minimize the appearance of having four employers within five years?

by Sheryl
(Texas)

Though I have very good reasons for each job change the last five years (i.e., physician contract terminated, leadership change, etc.), how can I minimize the short employments (1 - 2 years) on my resume?

Is it appropriate to put the explanations on my resume? Prior to the last five years I was a dedicated and loyal employee for ten years with a highly recognized institution.

Answer: I would explain what you said above in your cover letter, rather than on your resume. The letter should be the first thing read anyway.
