How Do I List Two Similar Jobs Worked at the Same Time?

by Anonymous

I worked two jobs at the same time; how do I list them on my resume? They both were security jobs and I basically did the same thing... how do I list that on my resume?

Well... you can list them as two separate jobs, which they are, or alternatively, you could list both employers/job titles, with only one set of bulleted responsibilities, like so:

XYZ Security, Chicago, IL, July 2008 to present
ABC Security, Springfield, IL, August 2008 to present
  • First responsibility

  • Second responsibility

  • And so on...

Then, you could explain in the cover letter that your grouped the two jobs because they were essentially the same, although for two different employers.
