How do I list the same job functions with multiple employers over 13 years?

I've worked in banking for the past 13 years, doing essentially the same thing for three different financial institutions.

Rather than trying to say the same thing three different ways (in chronological format) is there a better way to list my experience?

Answer: This is where a functional format or a hybrid format can come in handy. In both, you are emphasizing skills and/or achievements over job duties.

In preparing a resume recently for a teacher who had changed jobs yearly for 3 years, I first listed major accomplishments in his teaching career, followed by a list of duties performed in all teaching jobs, and then just listed employers, titles and dates of employment for the various jobs worked.
