How do I list my incomplete degree in an accelerated degree program?

by Catherine
(Rochester, NY)

I am currently enrolled in an accelerated degree program at Roberts Wesleyan College. Bachelors degree in Organizational Management - anticipated date of completion (9/2011). How do I list this on my resume?

Answer: First off, just let me say Hi! I hail from western NY originally, Chili to be exact, and had many schoolmates who went to Roberts. In fact, my niece Stephanie is currently attending there, in Biology, I believe. Small world, isn't it?

But, to answer your question, Catherine, I have actually answered this kind of question quite a few times here already! In short, on your resume, you're going to say pretty much what you said above, that your degree is pending and when you expect to complete it. Simple as that.

And please DO proofread your resume and cover letter before sending them off! You misspelled the name of your college here, as well as the word "anticipated" (I corrected both). You don't want to do that on documents that go out or you won't be placing your best foot forward. :)
