I'm working on a degree...on my resume I list is as Candidate, Bachelors of Arts Degree (tells prospectiove employer that you're working on your degree but that it hasn't been earned yet)

Thanks for posing this question on how to list work towards an educational degree you failed to finish. I have one of those myself! The answer is, just be honest. On your resume, you can list something like, "23 credits out of 46 completed towards masters degree" or some such.

Then, you can explain why you didn't finish and if you ever plan to either in your accompanying cover letter or be prepared to do so in the interview. Either way, it's nothing to hide, because the work you did do is something you'll want credit for in terms of knowledge and skills.
