How do I list a job that I used to work at but returned to after 4 years?

by Anonymous
(Somewhere)

I used to work at a job 4 years ago. I left and just recently returned. Would I list this job last, or would I list this job first (because it is my current job) and just include my older working dates along with my current working dates? Thanks!

Keep Them Separate
by: Kathi

I really think I would list these 2 work periods separately. First of all, recruiters scan resumes quickly, so you want to make the info as easy to digest as possible. Keeping things in that traditional reverse chronological order will do that.

Second, the 2 different employment periods really should be looked at as separate entities. Your performance etc. should be viewed separately for each.

Make sense?

Good luck!
