How do I explain that I was the only layoff at the company?

by S
(Canada)

I worked for a company for 6 years in an order desk/office assistant position. It was family owned and mid-sized (10 in the office and 60 in production area) - how do I explain that I was the only person who was laid off?

ANSWER: I'm not sure I understand why you would need to explain that. How would another employer even know that was the case?

And why were you the only person laid off?

Without more information, I am unable to answer this question, I'm sorry. Kathi
