Honesty & Openness Are Essential

I think a direct, honest approach is always best. I'd list the 2 different job titles, along with the relevant job responsibilities/achievements. And then maybe mention in the cover letter that the two positions were extremely similar and explain why you held 2 different, but the same jobs in the company. Or at least be prepared to discuss it at the interview.
