How do I answer a question about being fired from a job?

by Tameka
(Somewhere)

What do I say after being asked what was the reason I was fired at my previous job?

ANSWER: The unfortunate result of events like being fired is that they are a permanent "black mark" on our work record. You've given me NO info to go on here, so it's really hard to comment. But in general, I always advise honesty. You can't erase the fact that the firing happened, but you CAN attempt to show the employer that you learned from the experience and that it will never happen again, if you have anything to say about it.
