Thanks in advance for answering my question. I have had more jobs than I am proud of and have a very important telephone interview this upcoming week and want to know a way I can carefully answer any questions pertaining to my past job hopping to divert attention away from that to the excellent skills and experience I bring to the table.
Thanks again.
ANSWER: Melissa, I think the only thing you can do is be honest, but also communicate what you did here, that you realize your past work history is shaky, but that you're strongly committed to doing better in the future.
Think about why you job hopped so much in the past and what has changed now. You're going to have to work hard to sell yourself and to demonstrate the positive qualities you bring to an employer today that will offset the risk they are taking on your past.
Good luck; I hope it works out,
Kathi
