How best to update resume while stilled employed

I do not want my current employer to know I'm looking. My resume is fairly complete. Is it appropriate to list my current position and job description without the company name on the resume (with name to be given in person to the interviewer). If not, how should it be handled?

Answer: I wouldn't leave the name off, as that looks a little shady. I'd just put in the cover letter that your employer doesn't know you're looking for another job and you don't want them notified until a job offer is made. This is commonly accepted practice.
